Hi. This isn't actually my account; just borrowed this from a friend. Anyway, I'm applying to both law schools and thought my chances are decent (already got my LSAT and I got my target score.) If I get accepted to both, which law school do you think is better? BTW, I don't need FA.

Wait until it actually happens. The board will be happy to help you decide at the time.

what a lovely decision to have to make!! Anyway bdMike is absolutely right- especially in the case of Boalt. They seem to take many things into consideration- you can definitely exceed the median LSAT/GPA #'s and still get rejected. That seems much more prevalent at Boalt than the other T-14 schools.

congrats on the LSAT’s

I think you should decide based on which school’s most famous alumnus you admire most: Earl Warren, or Richard Nixon?

What is the reputation of these law schools in the US? Which one is more renown and respected?

Unless we’re talking about specialized fields, my understanding is that Berkeley has a better reputation. But of course, getting into either would be difficult even with a decent LSAT score and GPA…

Didn’t mean to be a debbie-downer. And congrats on your LSAT scores too.

Berkeley has a marginally higher ranking. If and when you are admitted to these programs, we can discuss this at as much length as you like.
