I had a thought that I hadn't really considered,

Did you write your Haas resume in real resume lingo, with the concise and often grammatically incorrect sentences?

Or did you write it like you would an essay.

I.e. in an actual resume you're supposed to cut articles like "the" or "a"... as well as not say "I analyzed this..." but instead just start with the action verb "Analyzed this..."

I think I'm supposed to write it in real resume tradition, but I was curious if anybody thought differently.

I decided to just treat the entire thing like the activities section of the uc application…so i wrote it like an essay…i’m not exactly aware of what a real resume is like…though i figure they wouldn’t penalize anyone for writing it whichever way…and i would assume the readers would recognize real resume format so they wouldn’t dock you for improper grammar or anything…so basically, i don’t think it matters lol (though i really don’t have any idea…)

haha thanks lomkh, I think you’re right. I’m assuming it’s just personal preference, I’ll go with the resume style for practice.

On an unrelated note, I read a book on resumes over the weekend because I happened to be writing mine while finishing this supp… and I seriously recommend checking out a book from the library when writing one. I had no idea how little I knew about it haha, it’s like a science.

Especially with many of the bulk scanners that companies have today that filter bad resumes out by the number of “keywords” that they use. Like analyze, lead, manage, etc lol. Crazy age that we live in!
