Berkeley Pre Med

How's Berkeley pre med like?

I’m a first year MCB major, which makes me the “typical” Berkeley premed. Having taken some of the prerequisites, I have to tell you that if you learned your math and sciences very well in high school, you’ll be just fine. Chem 1A will be very time-consuming for first semester pre-meds. If you can get a good grade in that class, Berkeley pre-med will be fine!

Thank you Candor, that helped.

candor: how much work do you think you have to put in to get A- average or better for premed. some people i have talked said that as a general rule study 3 hours per unit for premed instead of the usual 2 hour per unit rule. is there any truth to that?

^^^^^ btw if i get accepted ill be a integrative biology major which is much easier than mcb from what ive heard
