Hey guys,

I am trying to take a class over the summer @ Berkeley (I'm a newly admitted transfer student). Unfortunately, it took me so long to make up my mind on where I want to go to school that by the time I finally submitted my SIR and was able to register for summer classes, everything that I want has been filled, and they are putting me on the waitlists. Now, my questions:

1) If I am number 5 on a waitlist of a class of 140, is it likely that I will get into the class?

2) If I am getting put onto these waitlists, should I just enroll in extra back-up courses, in case I don't get taken off the waitlist, then drop the back-ups if I can?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and one more thing:

Does anybody have any recommendations for an easier/less-demanding/interesting GenEd class that I could take? I need at least 2 more units to be considered full-time.

And my major is EECS

Thanks!
