Berkeley vs. Columbia

I'm looking for help I have been accepted to both Berkeley and Columbia as a transfer student. I'm having trouble choosing, I'm a history major and both seem amazing schools for history. Cost is a factor and I am a California native. Any ideas on which would be better for pursuing a history degree ?

If cost is a factor, go to the cheaper school. I doubt that one is astronomically superior to the other in terms of history programs. You usually need a graduate degree in history anyways, so save your money for that.

Berkeley. I am guessing you got into Columbia GS which is no bueno.

Thanks for the quick reply nvilla I appreciate it. It seems hard to compare the two they seem very similar in terms of qualifications.

Cupertino why do you feel that way about gs?

Also post this on the Search & Selection forum which gets more traffic.
