which is better? I got accepted at cal for BME and im planning on switching to BME at Duke when i get in, which is relatively easy. How do the two engineering schools compare? research opportunities?

engineering is definately better at berkeley but i think you should consider the enviroments...do you want a large school? or a small school?

i think thats probably my main concern.. is that i know ull get more attention at a smaller private school whereas at berkeley you could easily get lost in the crowd... and i get regents and chancellors at berkeley so i was wondering also if the whole getting lost in the crowd thing is just exaggerated and if its really not that bad.. cuz otherwise i would go to duke.

It's exaggerated, really. But it's possible. Some students just drift into it. I talk to many of my profs before and after class. But hey, there might be other reasons why Duke could be better for you. Duke is more isolated, and in the South, and it's easier to switch majors, and there are smaller classes. I don't know. They're seem like fairly different environments. Is this really the deciding factor?
