Mmm...I stand by my old statement.

I'm with the honorable vicissitudes on that one. I think its best to meet CCers one at a time or in small groups. Too many CCers at once is post count and sensory overload.

Ooo, honerable vicissitudes. Is that my new nickname?

I don't mind if there are many CCers at once, but people haven't been expressing interest in this thread, apparently.

So is anyone actually going? I may drop by if I feel bored enough.

I went by Strada twice and didn't see anyone or hear anything CC related. Vicissitudes and CardinalFocused, why don't you come hang out? Busy between now and 5:45?

Also, the LiveJournal community had an open meeting at Strada (similar to what this was supposed to be), and it seemed fine. Granted, cc has a different breed of people, but the people are fairly similar (and there is much overlap). I personally think it would be fine to have an open gathering (if people go).

Waaah. Ok.

I just got home from giving a campus tour to a bunch of friends. Anyone still at Strada?

And, yes, I was at the LJ anonconcon. :)

biochemist12, do you think any of the cc'ers brought computers to the meeting? I doubt it.

:( probably not.

Where are you? You wanna meet up anyway? I did say that I was going to wait until 6.... but then no one responded! Anyway I need an espresso bar. And coffee. In a vat.

Oh, and are you saying that the LJ people are more... uh... geeky than the CC people? Since the LJ folks brought their laptops? :D

Haha. I can meet for a few minutes, but I have something at 6. I'm at my dorm currently. How far are you from Strada?

I don't know if the LJ people are more geeky than the cc people. I just think that the lj people tend to be more experienced in college life (and thus are more used to walking around with laptops and know more about and have used more wireless internet) and also happen to be the type to bring their laptops more than cc type people.

I want to kick it with DRab and dobby and the honorable visscitudes :D

Good God I didn't even know WHERE THE HELL STRADA IS LOCATED!

And I still don't...

Haha.

We'll set up another thing.

Strada is on the corner of Bancroft and College. It's near the South Eastern edge of campus, near Boalt and clost to I House. It's across the street from Adagia, next to the Bancroft hotel and right near the Berkeley Art Musuem.

We should just kick it at my pad.

If you so desire. If we're going to meet at a public place though we gotta have a "CC" sign or something so I know that the people there are from CC.

I already have CC tattoed on my right arm man.

That's...hardcore...man.

"That's...hardcore...man."

Chatrooms are hardcore strykur.

And oh **** you're almost a senior member!!! I have dreamt of this day.

My GSI from last semester basically lives at Strada.

Gah. Rats. I'm sorry, guys. My laptop's battery decided to die on me yesterday (the laptop refuses to recognize that a power adapter is connected to it so it doesn't charge the battery and I have to stick my battery into my roommate's laptop, which is exactly the same model as mine, to charge it).

DRab, I live right on Bancroft, right across from Zellerbach. Yes, that close.

Caltopia is happening right now. I can hear some sort of band playing from my apartment. Anyone planning on swinging by there?
