Berklee High School Jazz Fest and Grammy Jazz Camp both axed this year. Implications?

Just curious as I haven’t seen this discussed much here and if any population of parents/students would have a POV it would be this one.

What do we think this means in terms of academic jazz and dollars available to support it? You can argue that the two cancellations are very different but two points start to shape a curve.

Anyway curious what others make of this.

DrummerDad18———I am also curious. Grammy Band was cancelled (reason: a expensive program to operate). And Berklee Jazz Festival ended. Berklee was one of main “sponsors” for Grammy Band. I think that those two cancellations can be related with Berklee.

This is interesting. I know Grammy Foundation supported it as well and those dollars have been declining. I didn’t know Grammy jazz was cancelled. What a bummer. D really wanted to apply again for that after experiencing GC Nashville and they cancelled the jazz choir the last time. She was crushed, it was her last chance to apply. Are they still doing regular grammy camp do you know?
