Ok, so early action decisions for the Fall, 2013 intake of the master's programs at Berklee Valencia should be sent out tomorrow.

Anyone here expecting a decision too? Know what time the college sends out emails?

Thanks!

We are eagerly awaiting a reply from them. It’s been a dizzying process trying to talk with a warm body over there. Did you have the same problem?

I read in another thread that berklee uses a third party mail system, hence the glitches.

Hello Guitarwidow,

I waited patiently until about 10 pm CET last night, and when I couldn’t wait any longer I wrote them an email telling them I was expecting a decision by the 15th, but haven’t received an email yet. And within 2 minutes I got an acceptance letter.

The scholarship confirmation email came in just about 5 hours later.

Well, I usually liaise with their Admissions coordinator, Ana, who is fairly quick with her email responses. Did you try calling them? Nigel’s the person to get in touch with.

Let me know if you need any more help!

All the best!

Wow, congrats bornspy! I’ll try writing Ana.

To add to the comic communication problems we have been having, Berklee Boston gave us Nigel’s number and suggested he’d be a liaison for us. Then the number was wrong. The Bostonian who answered said she had asked the campus to stop giving her number out. Could you provide us with his contact info?

What worries us is that we didn’t get confirmation emails about the graduate aid application and other stuff. We would submit urls and then someone would write asking for them. We’d call and wrote to follow up but not receive a response.

Hopefully this will all be laughable in a few short hours! What program are you going for?

Thank you Guitarwidow! :)

Oh, that’s, well, tragicomic! Um I don’t have Nigel’s direct number, but you could try calling their board line and ask to be transferred to him? The number’s on their website. And Nigel’s email id is nlees (at) berklee (dot) edu

I, too, didn’t get a confirmation about the graduate aid application when I submitted it. But apparently when you put in details about your income, etc and click the ‘Submit’ button, the form directly goes to their Graduate Aid centre in Boston. As for the FAFSA, I’m not an American citizen so I don’t know much about it.

If you do get a scholarship, you’ll hear from them via email in about a couple of hours after you get your admissions decision. Don’t fret - just keep calling them every day. And do write Ana.

Let me know how it goes! I’m going for the Master’s in Global Entertainment & Music Business how about you?

Update: my husband was accepted to Valencia!!! We found out four weeks after they originally said they would get back to us. Oh we’ll, better late than never.

We still haven’t heard about financial aid including scholarships. I’m mystified bornspy that you received it so soon! Yesterday an very snazzy admissions packet came. I guess good art takes time, ey. But still, when we call either Valencia or Boston they have no idea what our package looks like.

Any more advice???

Congrats to him! The scholarship email comes in within 4-5 hours of the acceptance email. At least that’s how it was for me. I applied early action (before November 30th) and was eligible to receive a decision by February 15th. If you applied early decision, you too should have got your decision by feb 15th. Strange that you didn’t! Haha, I too got my admission packet by snail mail yesterday and it is quite fancy. Just curious- why do you need to call them now?

I’m paying my tuition deposit of 2500$ this week. I’d suggest you do that too, to reserve your spot on the batch. Also, for extra guidance it might help to contact a student of your course on the present batch. Best!
