Best ACT practice book for Math

I have a Barron book and I skimmed through it and looked at the math section. It is nice and basic and will help me brush up on my geometry. But after taking the act in june I'm rethinking if that book is worth it. Even though I didn't study that math section was a beast and I'm good in math. Were all the ACT like this or was this just my luck that my first the ACT was the hardest. Do they gradually get harder as college requirements and standards and overall GPA requirements get higher?

The math section does not strictly test whether or not you understand formulas, it also tests whether or not you understand what they are asking. Some of the questions were not as straightforward as they made it seem, or were made to seem more difficult and time consuming that they appear. Did you have more difficulty knowing how to solve problems or more difficulty figuring out the best way to solve a problem and interpreting what is being asked?

The first one for some and the second for most.
