Best AP Books

I was reading through the AP test prep books thread. These are the classes I'm taking and the books that seem the best:

Biology: Cliffs
English Language - Princeton Review, Cliffs
Spanish Language - ?
Statistics - Barrons
US History - Amsco

Questions:

1) What is the difference between "Cliffs AP Biology" and "CliffsNotes AP Biology?"
2) There were no suggestions for Spanish Language, anybody know of a good book to complement the class and/or study for the AP test with?
3) Is Amsco truly the best choice for AP US? I don't really want to buy a book that's nearly as long as my actual textbook.
4) Is the Princeton Review or Cliffs better for English Language? Or should I buy both?

Thanks.
