well this year I took apush, ap bio, and ap enviro- and I used barrons and they worked perfectly fine!!

In the section for ap there's a sticky list of books for ap...

barrons? thanks dynamic. I also heard that cliffs is really good for bio.

Oh didn't see that lovin, thanks.

and also for anyone taking ap world next year, use the princeton review. that book is just godly for ap world. I think anyone who is self studying for ap world can get a 5 just with that book.

I took bio and Cliffs was excellent, esp. since it had the lab review in the back. I feel like it also had better diagrams than Barrons. as for Spanish, the book our class used (for the NEW new AP Spanish language exam) was a Prentice Hall workbook: "AP Spanish: Preparing for the Language Examination." It was incredibly helpful.
I took calc BC and worked with McGraw-Hill's "Five Steps to a 5" book. I thought the practice tests were very similar to released exams, and the explanations in the book were excellent.

Would I have to study with AP Spanish prep books for a regular Spanish III class? I just find Spanish really hard although my class is not that hard. Thanks terrapin I will look into those books.

Oh, from the way you said it, i thought you were going to try taking the AP test for Spanish. If not, then you could try a different book that has a really concise review of each major topic. I'm using a Spanish subject test from the Princeton Review, though it's not really helpful...

oh wait...duh...you said "ap classes and spanish 3." can't say I didn't try, though. : )

Haha thanks for the advice though.

Cliffs for Bio i say.. I used barrons even though my teacher said cliffs was the best. I got barrons for free from my cuz anyways it sorta helped. I wouldnt recommend it for last minute studying which i did. Oh yeah, read your ap bio book..it helps alot :p Wished i did that :(. Damn Senoritis

i can't say enough good things about amsco for APUSH. as we did class things, i read the amsco chapter (so much more concise! tables! charts!) and then i actually reread the thing (skimmed my highlighted/underlined parts) in prep for the AP.

Ohh thanks. I guess I will do cliffs and barrons for bio and amsco for ush.

No I do not have any knowledge of any AP hhram books, because AP and hhram have no relationship...;)

hhram? you mean cram*? how does ap and cram have no relationship?

I'm in Spanish 3 right now and it's pretty easy despite the fact that I got a B in it (the tests are just horrible. Nobody gets >90). All we do is vocab, grammar, and culture. Vocab and culture is just memorizing. Grammar is pretty easy too (easier than Spanish 2). For example, we just learned how to do "would" which is inf.+ia (i would talk = yo hablaria)

oh. grammer in spanish is a killer for me. I study like 2 hours before a spanish test and still recieve a D (although i have a B in the class) i think i am ok at vocab. thanks.

wow GPA...it's a borat joke, where hhram = testicles...

you might wanna find Spanish Verb Tenses, if the grammar is the issue for you. it's a really straightforward/good workbook w/ clear explanations.

i didn't watch borat, so i didn't know. :D

alright thanks.
