I've read on these forums that viewing lectures online is a smart idea. Well i'm a total physics noob :"( and i'm trying to learn the subject from scratch as best as i can for the test in may (a 3 is fine, don't ask how i got myself into this lol). Is there a lecture online from a certain university that someone can personally recommend to me? Be it from someone having taken the exam and succeeding using the lecture or just knowing the contents and looking for which one suits. I have the Physics for Scientists and Engineers Textbook so maybe a class with that book would be nice. I would incredibly appreciate both

I’m curious to know the answer as well. I have the same physics book. I’m so lost. xD

You’re in luck! There is an absolutely phenomenal professor at MIT by the name of Walter Lewin who has the best physics lectures. I have been watching them for two years, and it has helped a lot. To find these lectures:
- Google MIT Opencourseware (OCW)
- Go to Science >> Physics
- Course 8.01 Physics I: Classical Mechanics
- Click on video lectures on the side. There are also notes, tests and other useful resources.

You can do this for any subject, there are hundreds of courses.
Good luck, hopefully you will fall in love with physics.

There are some on this site as well: [Physics | Video Courses on Academic Earth](Online College Courses & Accredited Degree Programs - Academic Earth)

(that same one that Metrical posted is too)

Thanks!!! =D

MIT’s physics opencourseware courses by Walter Lewin are among the best. I highly recommend them, especially for classical mechanics.

Occasionally Lewins are hard to understand, the link above has videos that are made by a Physics C teacher and they’re really short and easy to underestand
