Best AP To Self-Study

Im thinking about self-studying an AP in conjuction with the 4 that i'm taking next year. What would be a really good/easy AP to self-study? I don't want to self study a math one though... or i don't know. Inputs?

Psych, EnviSci, and Human Geo are easy APs.

I self-studied Comparative Government for the last semester, and it was excellent. I would recommend it!!!

Check out this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/ap-tests-preparation/369861-self-studying-aps-improving-your-app.html

You can probably self study Euro History if you are actually motivated. The teacher is just there to make sure you slack off, which you probably will because the stuff so boring.

If you took lit/lang, you can self-study the other… I’m in AP lit and self studying AP lang (test wednesday!!), and it shouldn’t be horrible!

^ I did European History this year, and it would have been very difficult if it were not for the fact that history is my favorite subject. aquamarine is right; psych, environmental science, and human geography are all pretty easy self studies. Also, I self-studied US government and politics and found it very easy, and I believe that comp government is similar

wow nice. I’d say i like history but does Euro History involve lots of writing essays and stuff?

Not if you’re self-studying… :p. The exam does, of course.

You’d probably want to pratice writing. I burned out after 7.5 pages and couldn’t finish one of my essays.

anything except for the language exams.

As mentioned, psych. I’d maybe say stats too, but that wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be.

I really wouldn’t advise self-studying stats.

BellCurves, why not?? It was easy. (don’t want to jinx the possibility of my getting a 5 though)

I don’t think that it is the “read thiese paragraphs and you’ll understand” kind of exam.

I’m taking APES tomorrow, and it is not easy (at least the practice tests haven’t been). In fact, only 5% of the people taking it get 5’s…as compared to 20% in AP Bio. APES is a really nice class though, especially if your teacher is amazing (which mine is) and you learn a lot about what is current. A good class, self-studying I wouldn’t recommend but could potentially pull off. But of course, you can technically try anything in life as impossible is nothing

I did hear that human geography was common sense though. Hmm.

Yeah, Human Geography shouldn’t even be considered AP. It’s too simple. :p

well i’m taking physics b, stat, calc ab and APUSH next year. any recommendations from that?

also human geo is a senior ap class at my school, so i will probably take that then.

IF you’re good at English, I’d say you could “self-study” either English AP test. It’s basically writing essays–there’s minimal vocabulary you need to know. If you do well on critical reading sections of standardized tests or if you’re an English person, you could not study and just naturally beast the essays. But you have to be an English person.

what about english language since english literature is a senior english class.
