I am taking APWH next year and want to be prepared. What is the best review book for studying? I asked my to-be teacher, and he wasn’t very helpful. I already have “AP WORLD HISTORY: AN ESSTIENAL COURSEBOOK” by Ethel Wood, which I heard was good.
Get the Princeton Review. I have the 2016 version and it’s really good. Helps you write the 3 types of essays and gives two practices tests in the front and back with all the answers and explanations to why one letter is the answer and why the others aren’t. It also reviews over all the periods in History. I highly recommend it. I’m using it now and my exam is tomorrow. Wish me luck and best wishes for you!
Mmm i had barrons, princeton, and ethel wood’s and I think Ethel Woods book will be quite sufficient. I though it was better than the other two but you can go skim through them in the library or bookstore if you want before you buy either.
Hands down the best book is Ethel Wood. It’s more than just a study guide though. Yeah, its main goal is to prepare you for the AP exam, but if you use it throughout the whole course there is no way you won’t make an A. Used her books for Human Geo and got a 5, used it this year and expect a 4+ (can never be too sure), and I’m buying it again for US history. I’ve never heard of someone who used Ethel Wood correctly(no cramming w/ this book!) and received anything less than a 4.
