Best boarding schools in the US?

Hey so i live in India and i was looking at going to a boarding school next year for my 11th and 12th (junior and senior year i think).
I wanted to know which boarding schools to look at - preferably the best (around 5 names) and whether they offer financial aid to international students or not
i lived in the US for 8 years so the adaptation process shouldn’t be too hard for me
Also, when does the application process start?
Thanks!

also, does it make more sense to get financial aid in boarding school and then pay the full college fee or pay the full boarding school fee and get a scholarship/financial aid to college?

I heard Exeter is by far the best boarding school.

And then, maybe SPS, Deerfield, Choate… I’m not really sure.

Exeter gives financial aid to families with $75000 or less.

I personally haven’t seen an international student getting financial aid at Exeter.
You can look up all of what you asked online.

@starduste you can find all the information about dates and application requirements on the school websites. I would research using boarding school review or other search tools. There are probably 20 schools which are the most prestigious and within shades of each other. There are many others that are very fine schools with differences in academic offerings, sports and other EC offerings. If you only focus on prestige rank you may be shooting yourself in the foot unless your parents are famous or endowment building donors

I don’t think international students are usually granted financial aid, but it’s definitely worth a try.

@BlingBlingBling Exeter could arguably be the best, but fact wise, Phillips Academy Andover is the best right now. But, it is definitely debatable.

The “best” boarding school? That would be the school that admits you, with enough financial aid for you to attend, and offers what you need in order to succeed and be happy. Enough already with “the best” nonsense.

@cameo43 speaks the truth. This question is pointless until you actually have acceptances from any of these schools and can compare financial aid packages. As there really is nothing left to say, I’m closing this thread.
