Best books for CHEMISTRY/BIOLOGY/WORLD HISTORY?

I need to learn Chemistry, Biology and World History so I can take the Subject Tests this autumn, but I have no basic knowledge of the subjects. Which books would you recommend for (a) learning the subjects and (b) studying for the exams?

Thanks! :)

Why are you taking those exams if you haven't taken even basic courses in them? Why not take tests that correspond to subjects you're taking in school?

Well, maybe "no basic knowledge" wasn't the right phrase. What I meant was that, since I'm homeschooled, I haven't done any courses in those subjects, or covered what people would in high school. I know that I can learn the material quickly if need be (I got an A in my Physics A-level with no prior knowledge), I just need to know what books to get.

Oh, alright.

I'd recommend Princeton Review for Chemistry (just also look at SparkNotes practice tests online as well).

PR for chemistry, sparknotes for bio

biology - cliffs
world history - princeton

Barron's is solid for bio as well.

Thanks for all the replies so far ^^. I'll go check out the books on Amazon in a second.

@cbrown101 - do you only offer online courses to people who've gone through the traditional high-school system? What kind of background knowledge would I have to know before starting a course?
