I really want to major in business but i know i cant get into the top ivy league schools for business. I have a 3.65 GPA and really well known private catholic high school. Im a junior and havent taken the ACT yet but my score is going to be around and a 29 but most likely 30. What schools would be best for me, preferably on the east coast? Im looking for a place with a really good reputation in the business world.
*** 3.65 at a really well known private school. sorry for mistype
Schools like BU, Northeastern, Villanova etc. would be reaches with those stats. What is your home state?
Chicago illinois. I really loved Bu and Villanova. They are my favorite so far.
IU and Purdue would be good match schools. Both have great business schools.
I kind of want to get out of midwest though and try something different.
- Try running supermatch (under find a college to the left)
- Do you have any price constraints?
- Some other ideas offhand might be Fordham and Lehigh. If you would consider schools that focus on business Bentley and Babson might be options.
Not really worried about money. I love Fordham and lehigh, just dont like the party factor at lehigh
–Have you done any basic research on your own? If so, what ideas did you come up with?
–Do you have any financial or other constraints on your search?
–What type of school do you like (size, location, anything else)?
Merged two identical threads
@happy1 I love Villanova, BU, Fordham, providence, university richmond. Location-preferably east coast. Medium size-5k to 20k
Marshall (USC), Cox (SMU) also good if looking south west / west
Don’t only one or two Ivy leagues have undergraduate business anyways? I was under the impression they were mostly graduate degrees like MSFs and MBAs.
^^^^ UPenn (Wharton) and Cornell (Dyson) have undergraduate business schools.
Ha, right on the money!
To OP:
You could throw Bryant University on the list. I know rankings can be hit or miss but it seems as though Bryant has a good ROI for their degree and they have some cool concentrations! They also integrate a required minor into their curriculum that’s the opposite of your degree so for example if you get a finance major you’ll get a science or liberal arts minor.

Based on your stats it would be a match/back up for you!
Yes seems life more of a backup for me.
