As of right now, I am choosing classes for my next semester and need help with what classes I should take. I want to be an actuary and I plan on studying for the exams while I am in college. I am a Math major right now and have taken Calc 1,2,3, Discrete, and Linear 1. Now I am stuck on what to take because I need to take 2 classes out of this long list to fulfill my math major but I am not sure which ones would be most helpful for the career I am trying to pursuit. The list of classes I can take are Differential Equations, Theory of Numbers, Modern Algebra 1, History of Math, and Modern Geometry. Which classes would be the best for an Actuarial career?
