I've decided that I really love statistics and I want to continue studying it by majoring in it.

So I was wondering, what colleges are known for their statistics department? Thanks!

I don't know if it is "known" for its statistics program but UConn has a great one and they're the top public university in New England. Relatively speaking there aren't too many prestigious schools with undergraduate statistics programs, but that doesn't mean the schools that do have such programs will give you any less of an education.

Good for you--statistics is a great field which will give you many choices of subject areas (biostatistics, survey statistics, quality control, and many others) and great employment opportunities.

While many schools offer fine degrees in statistics, you would be best off at one with a large department, with several professors and course offerings. The American Statistical Association tracks schools offering degrees in statistics; here is the link.
