BEST college physics/calculus II books ??

Next year, I will be taking physics I(mechanics) and calculus II in college. Can anyone recommend a good, comprehensive textbook for those classes? So far, I have had experience with james stuart and fundamentals of physics, but they seem too abstract and I find myself reading the same part ten times before I can finally grasp the theorem, concept, etc.

Since, I did not take AP physics nor calc in HS (i forgot all my physics and just finished calc I in college), I wanted to get acquainted with the material during the summer so I won't fall behind in class.

What are your suggestions???

Bump anyone?

Physics: Halliday and Resnick, it's the best book out there for mechanics (although young and freedman's university physics explains physics II much better)

Calc II: Stewart's Calculus: Early Transcendentals, it has Calc I, II, AND III

I would also recommend HRW and Stewart, and I too needed to read each chapter in the books multiple times - they aren't novels, but they are certainly more comprehensible and comprehensive than others.
