Best courses for engineering

Hello, I want to double major in environmental engineering and psychology. I have already taken AP environmental science, and am taking AP physics 1 next year. There are so many APs i am interested in such as AP psych, AP music theory, AP 3d art and AP lang. What AP are most recommended for engineering and if I cannot take them in high school should i self study them?
Thanks,V

Take the highest math available to you.

Take all three basic sciences in high school. AP level is a bonus.

Take the usual college prep curriculum, with AP level courses that you are strongest and most interested in. http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1995563-faq-high-school-college-prep-base-curriculum.html

thanks, im not sure i can take ap calc or ap chem cause of scheudling conflicts, does it count if i self study them and do good on AP tests?

What would conflict with calculus?

Have you at least had high school chemistry?

There is literally nothing that is worth more to you than taking AP Calculus as an aspiring engineer.

You should research engineering departments at your target and reach colleges. Find out what the prerequisites are for admission into the engineering schools. Those are the classes you must have. Key word = must

You mention a scheduling conflict. Nothing else, no matter how fun or enticing the class or activity, trumps rigor of your coursework.

AP calc A.B at our school is a double block class but i need to take personal finance and economics to graduate.
i will be able to take AP calc B.C senior year but AP Ab i dont know

If calculus BC assumes that students have just completed precalculus, why not take that?

Calc BC is a complete rehash of AB plus a bit more new information. If your school allows you to skip AB AND your BC instructor is solid, just skip AB.
