Best Liberal Arts Schools for Computer Science?

Hey guys!! Hope all is well! I’m currently a junior who is currently going through the college search process. Right now, I have the idea in my head (and am fairly sure) that I want to major in computer science, and it’s a dream to go on to work for google. However, I’m also looking for for a school that has a liberal arts education so that 1) I could change my major if everything went south and 2) so I’m surrounded by a group of diverse interests and talents. So far I’ve been looking at:

  • Stanford
  • Cornell
  • USC
  • Carnegie Mellon
  • Northwestern
  • UT Austin
  • Georgia Tech

Any of these jump out as a great option? Any other schools that could work for this? Thanks so much!!!

Why don’t you add this question to the thread you already have going? Also, you are starting with the wrong end of your search. Figure out safeties and matches, then look for reaches. Your schools on both threads are almost all reaches. They get tons of kids with great stats applying, and have very low acceptance rates.

Based partly on results from coding competitions, Hamilton should be a school you strongly consider:
