<p>countless people that do recruiting for IB's have said over and over that the gap between Stern and Wharton is far wider than the gap between Stern and say georgetown as far as recruiting. This is why I think it's silly to say that Stern and Wharton are the "top" because while Wharton certainly is, Stern is not actually that much better than the other schools ranked directly behind it to say it's the "top".</p>
<p>Virginia, Michigan, Berkeley, Georgetown and a few other semi/targets are going to give you just as much opportunity if not more than Stern. </p>
<p>btw, many schools like Chicago, for example, even thought they don't have a business program are recruited regularly by IB's and considered targets. Studying Economics at Chicago is going to look better than doing finance at stern and would still allow you ample opportunity to interview for finance positions.</p>
