<p>Congrats to Esperanza, a recent bassist and vocalist from the Berklee College of Music. I just saw her perform in Vermont a year ago and she really was fantastic.</p>
<p>Please, out of consideration for West Coast people who are not seeing the show live, don’t post grammy results. At the very least, not in the title and give a spoiler alert if you must post in a thread.</p>
<p>I love Esperanza Spalding! She’s the youngest professor at Berklee (she’s about 25, but was a full professor even younger… I wanted to check her website, but it’s not loading, probably from all the attention at the moment.)</p>

<p>She’s on campus at Oberlin this week or next–my son scored a ticket and was thrilled. Usually, the jazz kids get to hang out with the artists afterward.</p>
