United States Air Force Academy. Stunning campus. 18,500 acres.

U. of Michigan-Ann Arbor
UMich has 3000+ acres campus, but almost every schools and colleges has it's own building,so It is not feeling that big too.
The unversity's total land holding is around 21,000 acres-if my memory is correct!

The noted architect Robert Venturi, upon setting foot on Middlebury's campus, was quoted as saying, "If anyone had told me that gray stone boxes set in lawns could be so beautiful, I would have said they were crazy. Middlebury looks like what everyone thinks an American campus should be but seldom is..."

trinity???

Hilary -- why Trinity -- because the campus is beautiful and impressive -- too bad it's in a derelict section of Hartford. But the campus itself, quite nice -- with great kids and a terrific and dedicated faculty.

Trinity in Ct., dewball. Very pretty campus - particularly the long walk, the chapel, and the hillside view overlooking the city. And I agree, the U. of Richmond is also a very pretty campus - forgot to add that on the other thread.

Trinity was gross compared to most schools!

i'm quite partial to amherst's campus, which i think is beautiful and easy to get around...but from other's i've seen: elon is like a country club, duke, stanford, UVA, the UC's...if you can get past Penn's surrounding area, the campus itself is very nice.

H - too big, classes may not be walking distance
Y - classes are easy to get to, nice campus, a bit rough beyond
P - classes are easy to get to, nice campus
S - too big, shuttle buses used to get to classes
M - no central campus, bldgs. along a long narrow strip

Hey Slipper....Dartmouth's pretty raunchy, too....but then, each to his own.

I have to ditto Rice. Gorgeous, tons of trees, no public roads through campus, all contained in one loop with a convenient shuttle to take you around.

Duke, Stanford, Holy Cross, Williams, Rice, Dartmouth, and Princeton.

Haha crash, nice try!

Trinity itself isnt bad but the kids live in the worst off campus housing in a pretty bad area.

Michigan has one of the "best" overall campuses. But then again, one can ay the same of most good universities.

Slipper - me thinks that was a peace pipe offering, if double tongued...you've obviously spent time on North Campus (and one can only guess what you were doing there....) housing on the other side of the campus is nice....

well depends on wht ur criteria is...for beauty, stanford is pristine. however, my bro who goes there describes it as a country club prison. palo alto isnt a great college town and even though youre in a beautiful open setting, you feel trapped. ucla has a nice campus and a great college town...of course it has all of LA but is right in westwood villiage which is the best! and im bias but penn is the best lol--i love how the campus is like a beautiful oasis but you can just as easily walk across the street into philly; to me, the perfect balance:)

Cornell!!!

I love Cornell, they ran steam pipes under the sidewalks so they would melt the snow during the winter, the waterfalls, the gorges, the pristine quads, wonderful clock tower with carrillon, ancient trees, gardens, and libraries almost beyond compare.

I also like Berkeley, Smith, Wellesley and UCLA (frequently pretending to be other colleges in the movies...Harvard in Legally Blond)
