OK, I know I'm looking way ahead as I'm not even in college yet, but I'm trying to figure out the best way to secure a good residency of my choice with low debt.

This seems like a good program with decent pay and good clinical experience. What do you people think?

Yes, yes you are.

It's not worth it unless research is what you planned to do originally. Although the NIH will repay up to $35,000 of your loans, you have to do research (at probably low pay). As a doctor, during that two year span, you could've made at least $300,000. The wages you forfeit by being a researcher far exceed the amount of loan the NIH will pay for you.
