Im taking AP physics 1 this year and need a good book that will cover the materials that my AP class doesn’t and one that has realistic practice questions. Any suggestions?
Depends on what your “AP Physics 1” course is. My school labels AP Physics C: Mechanics as AP Physics 1. I know they came up with a new AP Physics 1 course but you should check with your school/the course description or syllabus to make sure.
The SAT Physics exam requires you to know the material covered in AP Physics C: Mechanics and AP Physics C: E&M. And also, the test covers these topics with more math knowledge and more in depth than the actual AP Physics 1 course or even AP Physics B does. So if you want to take it, you will have the knowledge but you would need to self study the calculus topics and the extra material you may not have learned.
