how's Prof Juan Corradi for con west? On ratemyprofessors.com, it says that his class is an "easy A" which is the only reason I'm waking up at 8 am to take his classes....can someone confirm what ratemyprof says?

thanks for the advice elevenqueen. I sent in my class choices like a month ago (I'm in gsp) but does anyone know when we hear back from nyu about our schedules?

lol i would not wake up at 8 just because ratemyproffesors said it was an easy A...

lol, according to ratemyprof, u can pull off an A in that class without even attending most of the lectures...so it's not like im gonna have to attend every single lecture...and it's a small price to pay for an A

lol I know grades are important but i would rather pick a "challenging" class, whatever that means, cause basically hs was a joke and college should be more interesting.

quag is in Stern though, and imho he's making the right choice.

I'm in Stern too

my stern classes (subjects im actually interested in) will be challenging enough, so i don't want to take an overly challenging con west class and risk getting a B

haha ok. got it

Rainbow:
Halpin teaches the chem lectures. He's a good teacher, certainly fair. The class is HUGE so there's not a lot of time to get to know him well. Your classes sound a bit pre-med so let me give you a hint: taking a semester in London gets you smaller science classes, which makes it easier to get the letters of recommendation required for med school. You can't do it your freshman year, but even if you just want a chem/psych major, London is a good time.

Professor Zezula - Belle Epoche was amazing (but his classes are always packed so as a freshman you likely won't get him).
- He's passionate about the subjects he teaches. His lectures are always interesting. I could sit and listen to him talk for hours. He makes a point, despite large class sizes to talk to everyone. The class I had from him wasn't all that hard either. Even if it was, I would still recommend him.

what is a fun elective to take?

What do you like? NYU probably has a class for it (I've taken baking and piano)

better yet, is there like a master course list and course descriptions i can find online?

Yeah, just check the registrar. You might have to go to the individual department pages for detailed descriptions though.

NYU > University Registrar > Course Search > Class Schedule Search

Baking and piano? Sounds awesome!

For what it's worth, I got 2 A's and a B+ on the three essays for Jono Mischkot, and ended up with an A- in the class. I think that's fair.
Other good profs -

Ertman - Conversations of the West
Amodio - Intro to Psychology
Kellum - WTE (I had the class for two semesters since I am not in CAS).

I was reccomended Professor Paizis, who teaches econ II in CAS, does anybody have any thoughts on this professor?? how interesting are his lectures and how difficult are his exams??

what school did you take baking at youkosiren? or what class is it called.

what do you guys know about prof. kistikopulious ( i don't know the right spelling) for econ at cas

Just look him up on the course eval website...I think he's considered the second best econ proefssor after lieberman he has a 4.3 rating.
