<p>Thank you for replying P JAMISON. We looked at Northeastern, but the 5-yr co-op program could require attending classes through the summer, which she wasn’t interested in. </p>
<p>You’re right about Union and Skidmore being farther away than she wants to be too.</p>
<p>Bentley, however is intriguing. Their “Information Design and Corporate Communication” major sounds like a great fit. However, I can’t seem to find if they require a set of core business courses for all majors (i.e. Accounting, Management, Marketing, Economics, etc.)? Plus, if she were to change her mind about this major, she wouldn’t be in a liberal arts college. I know she’s not really interested in the typical Business/Mgmt major; but rather, the writing, design, etc. of Public Relations and even web design (unless it gets too computer programming oriented). Any thoughts on this?</p>
<p>We considered New Haven too, originally because it did seem like a nearby school at which she might receive substantial merit aid. But that’s really because the average SATs there are barely into the low 500 range. Is this type of school really any better than a state U, other than the grass being greener on the other side?</p>
