I plan on doing my undergraduates in economics either in :
UBC, UofT, or McGill.

I would love to do law at mcgill but cant due to french proficiency.

I heard McGill is the best in Canada for undergrad and is more internatioanlly known, with a better night life, but UBC has a better economics program.

thanks

For law school - UT or anywhere else - what counts is gpa and excellent LSAT. Pick a school where you think you can succeed (and be happy) then take a lot of courses that require heaving reading, text analysis and writing. The economics background will give you ease with using numbers and data; the reading/writing will give you the critically needed ability to get through tons of dense (and often very boring) text.
