hey I took the SAT for the first time and got a 740 on math and Im happy of course to start with that, but now when I do blue book practice tests I cant get closer to 800. What do you guys thinks are the best math sat prep books for an 800 for a realtivel good math student such as myself?

I recommend Gruber’s SAT Math Workbook.

PWN the SAT

Is PWN the SAT good? Do they give detailed explanations for questions?

BTW I think PWN the SAT has free guides on [PWN the SAT](http://www.■■■■■■■■■■■■■)

yeah they have stuff online, but the book has much more practice and is more organized. the tips you can get online, but personally the book helped me alot

740 isn’t enough info.

Are you getting a 740 because you mess up on the level 5 difficulty questions or because you make careless mistakes?

If it’s because you mess up on the hard questions, then just practice doing those hard questions. You can take practice tests and only do like the last 5 questions of each section. Also, I’d recommend Dr. Chungs for math if you really wanna rape the test haha.

If it’s because you simply make careless mistakes just do practice tests and eventually you’ll become more careful. What I found helps for me is to underline what they ask for, for example if you have a figure of a triangle, and that triangle is divided into three triangles, and the final answer is asking you for the area of one of the inner triangles and not the whole large triangle I would outline the smaller triangle in the figure. Hope this makes sense. Good luck!

Do ALL the tests from the Blue Book.
