Best schools for political science

I originally posted this under College Admissions but it seems to belong in College Search.

Which schools are considered the best for political science, especially with a concentration in International Studies?

I would assume Harvard, Stanford and Georgetown. Anybody have any specifics on these programs or others? Thanks.

Yale, Columbia, Dartmouth, Penn, Brown, Berkeley, Michigan

I recommend Harvard, Princeton, and Georgetown.

American! I believe it was voted #1 for poli. sci, and they have a wonderful study abroad plan where the student only pays for the food wherever they go (b.c it’s included in tuition).

Columbia, it has one of the first (I’ve heard the first) poli sci dept in the country, today it’s still a top program, international politics is a specialty and is ranked very highly. There’s also no better place to study international politics than New York:

-they have this every year and bring in 5-8 heads of state + other important politicians (like Bloomberg and Kofi Annan) in one week. Other high profile politicians visit campus throughout the year because it is so accessible. Can’t be that bad if Barack graduated poli sci 25 years ago.

Some top ones (in international politics specifically) that haven’t come up yet:

MIT, UCSD, U of Chicago, NYU, Tufts
