How early should a person start studying for the LSAT? Would studying for the test too early be harmful in some way?

a couple months before it should be fine. maybe take a practice test under real conditions and see how much work you need to do (go up 5 points, or 15? focus on one section, or improve them all) to get into the schools you'd be happy at, taking into consideration that your actual score will probably be 3-5 points lower than your best practice score, just due to nerves and such. I went up 4 points from practice test to final exam with about 3 weeks of hard-core studying (focusing on the one section where I had more room to improve). I think 4-6 weeks, a little less intensively, would have been better for me. But it's a very individual thing.

studying too early probably won't hurt unless you get really burned out, but it's somewhat boring and unecessary. there MUST be more interesting things for you to do with your time.

lol, thanks for the advice!
