are townhouses deserted?

huh?????????

Townhouses are not deserted, and if you don't mind having a roommate, I'd say they're among the best possible housing for freshmen. They're not nearly as isolated as people say they are, and there are a bunch of perks.

does anyone know how the transfer dorms are? and if they are a better choice then any of the dorms on north campus?

I think for freshman, rooms on a hall is the best scenario, whether it be a single or double. It's the easiest to meet people, and is a whole lot of fun. Suites are secluded, and while they're excellent for upperclassmen who choose their suite, I don't think it's best for freshman.

This dorms include Dickson (singles and triples), donlon (doubles), etc.

Court/Mews however are considered suites, but are more like a rooms on a hall in that you walk from one suite to another down a central hallway.

Those are my two cents. You don't really choose anyway, so you just get stuck with whatever they give you. Luckily, there are no "bad" dorms.
