Best UC for a pre-med psychology major?

<p>I hear that med schools prefer applicants with slightly higher gpa's from less prestigious colleges compared to slightly lower gpa's from better schools like UCLA and Berkeley. </p>

<p>What UC has a respected pre-med program that is significantly less competitive than UCLA and Berkeley? If the specific school isn't all that important in med school acceptance, then which one will give me the best chance to get a high gpa while preparing me well for the MCAT and not looking bad on an application?</p>

<p>UC Davis and UCI are both reaaally good for pre med. Personally, I would go with Davis because Irvine is in boring suburban hell haha</p>

<p>I’m not too worried about the location of the schools, but wouldn’t it be easier to go to Merced or Riverside to get a really good gpa, since the specific school doesn’t matter that much to med schools?</p>
