@anastasiasmom Goddess and the Baker has great breakfast, lunch, coffee drinks and beautiful desserts. It is just steps from the Palmer House
I second that ^^^ @czgator ! LOVE Goddess.
I also recommend the Cochon Volant for dinner if you have time and want a relaxing dinner. It’s a french bistro just up Monroe St.
Agreed!! Cochon Volant is one of my FAVORITE spots for breakfast as well!
Personal Steamer - If you don’t already have a steamer, I HIGHLY recommend getting one. My D tries to use it nightly or every other night. It has been great for her voice. And she typically gets sick often, doing this has really helped keep the sick bugs away
Link to Amazon and a lot of stores carry it.
Break-a-Leg all that are auditioning this weekend.
Safe travels and Break A Leg to everyone heading to Chicago and any other audition this weekend and next week!!!
Did anyone here have DD or DS audition with Ithaca at NYC Unifieds? Have you heard anything back yet? Do you know when the notifications will be sent out?
Just a reminder to all that have been either Deferred or Wait Listed - send off a Letter of Continued Interest (LOCI). Can usually be sent though the student portal.
BAL to all auditioning this weekend and upcoming week.
Logging on for the first time this year — My son is a second year student at UNCSA. – Thinking about all of you guys going through the audition process, especially with Chicago Unifieds this week! Best of luck to everyone!!! (I remember that anxiety well!)
UNCSA is an amazing program. (My son is a 2nd year there.) – They will be asking questions similar to what other schools would ask – Why do you want to be a part of our program? What makes you want to be an actor? ,etc. They are really trying to get to know the candidate (the best they can in a few minutes) and determine if that candidate will be a fit for their program. – I love the dean, Scott Ziegler. He is straight forward and has very high standards of professionalism for his students. – GOOD LUCK!
If you don’t get a same day callback for UNCSA’s acting BFA, does that mean you are no longer under consideration for their program?
@winnieponine that’s what the department heads told us during the info session at NYC Unified
Does anyone know when/how Rutgers will invite for the callback weekend to occur in March? S auditioned in NY in January. Thank you!!
@2024parentbfa My S auditioned on campus 1/26 and the admissions counselor who did the info session said that all applicants will be notified on 2/18 via an email directing them to portal…1 of 3 letters will be there, invite to callback weekend, waitlist, or denied.
@theatrekidmom Thank you and good luck!!
@winnieponine – UNCSA changed their audition this year to include callbacks. From what I understand, you must have a callback to still be considered. No callback, and you are done.
That is what we heard too. If you do not get a callback then you are no longer in consideration for the program.
@2024parentbfa - Last year the Rutgers call-back weekend invitations went out by email the weekend after LA Unifieds - so they wait until they’ve seen all the Actors. LA Unifieds is this weekend so he’ll likely hear within two weeks. As I recall the actors not invited to callback don’t get emails, the portal just changes to show your decision. Oh whoops - sorry looks like you already heard this.
@STHmom @anastasiasmom do you have any idea when they will have callbacks or when they will find out? DD auditioned there 1/26 and they have auditions going on through February. We spoke to a current UNCSA drama high school student and she was the first from her class to audition. She said most of her classmates audition later in February.
For Unifieds they post the callback list within 5 minutes of the last individual audition for that group. And then they have the callback auditions right after. Not sure about on campus.
