I know at alot of college campuses, bicycles are needed to get from A to B. Is there a big bike population at Pepperdine. If I bring my bike can I ride to the beach and nearby restaruants?

You can bring your bike…but have you been on the Malibu campus???
Because if you can ride your bike up and down those amazing hills on campus, then man you are in GREAT shape!
FYI…They have a wonderful shuttle system that circle’s the campus about every ten minutes. Also, they have a shuttle that goes down into the nearest shopping center with restaurants and beach access every hour throughout the day from the Pepperdine campus.
Good-Luck! :)

I am re-posting this because I put it in the wrong forum previously.

Is it possible to attend Pepperdine without a car? I have read that the school shuttle is not that reliable. Are there people at Pepp without cars and if so, are they stuck on campus most of the time? We live too far away to drive one across the country twice a year. Thanks for the info.
Also, are most of the students extremely wealthy? Does that become a problem for those that aren’t?

momto4insocal…I have not been to the campus yet, I am going to reception on the 8th. Thanks for the info though.
teacherplanet7…I was wondering the same thing. My parents said no car at least for the 1st semester. I do not mind taking the shuttle but what about night time? I guess I will have to play it by ear and see how it all unfolds. I am looking forward to it.

Socalsr~~~OMGosh what a treat you have in store for you when you go on your campus visit. Pictures do not do the campus justice. It is truly beautiful! The Princeton Review named it #1 among the 3000 college campuses in the US, and they were spot on. :)

As for cars on campus, they do allow freshmen to have cars however most do not. Some of the upper classmen have cars who work off campus. But honestly the on campus shuttle is highly effective.

Good Luck to all!

Thank you!!! I am so looking forward to it.

No one really bikes here. I’ve seen like 5 bikes in total in 2 years.
