Hey everyone,

Would it be possible to work for the Big 4 with only a Bachelor's in Accounting? Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone,

That is the most common scenario kid.

Smartest move = BA in Accounting, Big 4 job for two years max, get CPA during that time to pick up Big 4 bonus, LEAVE to a real firm, not a mental sweatshop.

or you can get a masters, get your CPA license in shorter time, and proceed with leaving from that sweatshop that binks was talking about

I think its funny that people don’t think other CPA firms don’t have long hours.

I never said other firms don’t have long hours, but if you break it down to a total basis of hours worked/pay, Big 4 has a lower ratio than other firms.

and since many jobs ask for “Big 4 experience strongly preferred”, it all pays off in the end

Smaller firms are also less likely to have lots of travel because their clients will also be smaller.
