Big Issue - Please Help!

I just applied ED to Columbia University, but I have an issue. I filled out both the Common Application and the Columbia First-Year Application (which is on their website). My guidance counselor told me only to use the Common App, and I forgot to delete my Columbia First-Year Application. Apparently, my Columbia First-Year App was automatically submitted, without my knowledge (along with the Common App). I told the admissions office about my issue, and they said to just write an email about my issue.

However, I am worried that my documents are going to be all mixed up. I have 1 teacher recommendation being sent in by mail, and one essay that had to be sent by email. How much should I stay in contact with admissions about my issue (without being too intrusive)?

The school should be able to handle duplicate applications

There’s no flipping reason to be bumping your query. Colleges intake millions of documents every year. If anything is amiss, they will contact YOU. Please stop worrying about this.

They are sophisticated enough to handle one mailed doc and one emailed doc. OK?
