Big Picture

I know from other treads that Harvard doesn't just look for one main thing but a wide variety.

Regardless what do you think really stood out the most on the application? Having many EC's or your high grades?

Thanks for any replies.

There are close to 7 billion people on the planet earth and ~2,000 (if I recall correctly) spots for freshmen at Harvard.

There are many students who have perfect or nearly perfect scores and oodles of extra-curricular activities.

What makes you unique?

I understand the concept that you need something special to stand out.

However, what would bring about the best response on an application?

Saying you worked at a shelter for lost animals for years or having a great GPA?

There’s no good answer for this type of question. Though it’s really unsatisfying to hear, one needs to be outstanding in all parts of their application or world-class in one and pretty good in the rest in order to gain acceptance to a school like Harvard.

Thank You both for the information. Greatly appreciated the responses.
