When it comes to the basics, job security, benefits, reasonable working hours, and a good salary, does it make a difference which you choose to be employed by? Sure of course the bigger companies have the capital to do more extensive projects and provide benefits that small companies can't, but satisfaction can be taken from both right?

From a CpE major point of view by the way.

I would say that it does not matter BUT it depends on if smaller companies are allowed to play ball in whatever industry your are in. I say that because here contracting at the No Such Agency, there is a “small company” initiative (usually start-ups of former NSA employees) who get to prime or subcontract on major projects/programs. That allows the smaller companies to hire the same type of talent and therefore pay that talent the same as the big boys.

I have worked at both small and large companies. The facilities, pay and benefits are better at large companies, but the smaller companies offer more interesting and varied work experiences, easier access to top management, and more cameraderie with other employees.
