Bio 13?

One more thing. Depending on which advising option your son picked, he might already have a distribution course as part of his advising option

Don’t worry too much about it. Have him ask on the Facebook group or better yet, just wait until orientation. There is plenty of advice that will be given then and it’s better to make these decisions after listening to professors and advisors and fellow students on campus.

Thanks for the great inputs! psychology 1 is a good idea. He planned to take one in HS, but did not get a chance. I am sure he will like it. He is a very good painter/sketcher, so he likes art, do not know if there is a chance he can take painting class (not know if Tufts has this kind of class though). He likes history, archaeology. Not sure if he likes film and music, but those are good areas to think about. Well, going to the college is to explore different things and expand the knowledge, isn’t! Will tell him to ask on Facebook. But he is very lazy and does not prepare anything till the last minute, so I have no hope to hear anything from him before orientation.

My son is a good artist also. But unfortunately all the painting/drawing classes are very time consuming and a lot of them are only 1/2 credit for a lot of hours. They also seem to interfere with his labs. So unfortunately he had to take other classes to fulfill his art requirement.
Psychology 1 also fulfills one of the social science requirements. He really only have to think about one more class. Since he’ll probably take bio or chem, foreign language, psychology, and something else.
TuftStudent is right. At orientation week they’ll be plenty of students to give him advice so I wouldn’t worry about it.

If you used Bio AP to place out bio14, since medical school requires 1 yr bio with labs, what’s the bio w/lab class you will take then?

According to the pre-med advisor, any bio class # > 14 will suffice. It doesn’t matter if it formally has lab or not.

Has anyone taken bio 41 - General Genetics? how is it?
