A friend of mine may want to switch into a program that is closer to engineering/technology instead of science. He's also very interested in biology, and a bit of chemistry too. What are some majors that he should pursue? I was thinking of biotechnology or biochemistry. Anyone else have ideas?

biomedical engineering perhaps?

biomedical engineering

/edit: hah, posted at the same time.

Chemical Engineering perhaps

I thought about those too, but he tells me that his math is not that great, and I can see his competence in math. He doesn't suck at math, per se, but he's definitely not somebody who can handle engineering math.

How is science math any less difficult than engineering math? If anything physical sciences use a lot of abstract math which is fairly confusing.

Bioinformatics. A great major and I have heard that it will soon be really hot in the coming years. Its like Comp. Sci + Biology.

Or...

Biometrics. Don't know much but looks cool in action movies :P

As the other posters have said,

Biomedical Engineering, Bio-Engineering or Chemical Engineering are great options.
