BioE considering switch to Civil, IE or Biomed.

Hello. Hopefully you guys can help me with the dilemma I'm having regarding my choice of major.
I'm currently majoring in BioE but am strongly considering a switch due to concerns about the job market and job security along with the fear I wouldn't actually enjoy the work.

I entered the program thinking it would be heavy on biology but have found it seems to be more chemistry based. While I've always done pretty well with biology, chem has given me nothing but trouble so I doubt I'd enjoy studying or working in a field based on it. Also, I'm fresh out of my intro to BioE course and it was a nightmare. Specifically the instructor was a nightmare. Unluckily for me, she's also the director of the BioE program and teaches a good number of the courses (and all of the chem courses!) Getting my foot run over by a semi sounds more fun than dealing with her for another three years.

I'm new enough to my program that a switch wouldn't really affect anything.
As the title says, Civil, IE or Biomedical are the other disciplines that interest me the most.

Civil would be interesting because I could focus in environmental. I like the idea of working to preserve water resources or helping to clean up the environment. I understand it's somewhat broad as well.

Industrial could be fun because whenever I'm out and about I find myself thinking about how something I see could be done easier/quicker or at least be made less frustrating. I could improve systems and processes in a variety of settings and still have a technical background.

Biomedical interests me because it seems to work with the larger biological systems as opposed to the minute chemical processes and anatomy and physiology were two of my favorite classes in my first undergrad degree (nutrition and dietetics). Creating new devices/synthetic parts etc. would feel very rewarding.

I'm curious as to what advice anyone here can offer. I think any of these majors could make me feel fulfilled professionally, my main concerns are ease of employment and job security.
