Hi,

So this fall I plan on majoring in Bioengineering, and reading many discussions I've noticed the jobs are limited, and most are saying to do a traditional engineering (EE, CE, ME) then get a MS in Bioengineering. I as of now really wanna pursue bioengineering as my undergrad, so any good ideas regarding getting my Masters? Whether I get it in BME, or I get my MBA, or maybe get it in a differnt engineering focus to broaden my views and make me more desirable to engineering companies.

Thanks!!!

Feel free to message me as well

Btw this may have been an improper thread to post in but, could really use the help!!!

<<< I as of now really wanna pursue bioengineering as my undergrad >>>

why? what do you think you’d be doing/learning as an undergrad in that major?

<<< or I get my MBA, <<<

I cant imagine who would employ a bioE undergrad with a MBA.

Honestly I truley like the field and course work, and I like how it’s more of a “jack of all trades” type of outcome. As well as I possibly would like to pursue Law School afterwards going into Patent Law. However, as of now I’m trying to weigh my options of either being 100% debt free and getting a masters in BME, or pursuing law school. And the MBA part I read somewhere and just wanted to put out there.

Also, if I do continue my aspiration of a biomed undergrad would pursing a masters in it as well be good, along with work experience when finding a good job.

If you like it fine, but the bioE major is not a jack of all trades major.

and yes, a masters is essential (unlike most other eng’g majors).

yeah if I don’t go into IP a masters would be what I do. And really? I reading everywhere that it is and that’s why it’s harder to find jobs as aspects like EE, CE, and etc are more narrow and can focus in BME stuff and in the end are more desirable to employers over just plain BME majors. But idk. All ik is that the pay is very good, and that it interests me a lot. And I can go into so many things with it(med, law, dentistry)
