Biological Engineering

I was searching online for infomation I had heard about from a friend. Is there any schools besides MIT <a href="http://web.mit.edu/be/index.htm%5B/url%5D">http://web.mit.edu/be/index.htm</a> offering it or considering it (and not as a division of an existing dept or major like Chemical and Biomolecular Eng or division of BioE [here's a list I found <a href="http://www.univsource.com/biological.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.univsource.com/biological.htm</a> but I know for a fact that UofI doesn't have BE {what this major is called} except as a division BioE and that is different from the MIT-type program])? I think it's a really awesome new degree that actually is what BioE sounds like or is more like the Cell & Tissue Engineering specialization at my school within the BioE dept. What do you guys think about it? Useful? Growing like BioE or very different in many aspects? What is it's closest relative (BiomolecularE)?

i thought biological engineering was more like related to genetic & protein engineering. i think a lot of it has to do with agricultural engineering.

right the program at U of I is related to agriculture but this is fairly new at MIT so the name may change but until then does anybody know a college that has a special interest or a major department in this type of Cell & Tissue engineering?
