Biology subject test e/m...what?

hey guys
new to the SAT thread and just started studying for subject tests so...
can someone please clarify for me what biology e/m is? does that mean you pick either bio e or bio m?
also if I'm self-studying this, can anyone give me an estimated preparation time/good books =)

thanks,
bloog

Yes, it means you can take either. You should have at least 2 weeks prepping time, and 1 month is more than sufficient. Study Princeton Review and take practice tests on sparknotes, and you'll do fine.

e/m means that you get to choose your concentration for the last 20 questions. everyone has to do the first set of questions, those are general and have both ecological and molecular stuff. Then for the last 20 questions you can either choose the ecological or molecular set. it just means you'll get more ecology questions or more molecular questions.

best book to study from is barrons. their questions may be tougher, but they have the best review section EVER. trust me, you'll need the details--the SAT II bio is heavy on little things. also borrow a copy of the collegeboard blue book of SAT subject tests and do the bio test that's in there.

alrighty
thanks guys

I got what I needed =D
