BioE is its own thing and not a division of a major !!</p>

<p>There is no Biomedical Engineering at UCLA. There are biomedical options which fall under EE and ChemE as Emmeline points out.</p>
<p>They aren't very good options if you want a concentration in Biomedical Engineering though. I believe it's an additional 2-3 organic chemistry and 3 life sciences classes aside from the focus, at least fro the EE pathway. </p>
<p>In my opinion, Bioengineering is closer to the Medical option I predict that you are seeking.</p>
