I am currently a biomedical engineering major who is considering a major change to electrical engineering major (concentration on control systems/Bio-engineering) with a minor in biomedical engineering, but if deciding to continue with biomedical engineering I would a have a concentration on neurotechnology.

I have always had a passionate interest in the brain and technology and am wondering if this is good way to go? An engineering adviser told me that a firm knowledge in signals in systems would be beneficial towards the direction I am going in if I chose EE with BME minor, but I'm still not so sure and need a 2nd opinion.

To be honest its just the chemistry pre-req classes that are getting to my head. I'm on my third attempt at chem 2 while my other classes are As and Bs. Going that EE route would avoid orgo 1. My first attempt I had a C- but i needed a C, and my second attempt I had to leave the country for the later half of the semester due to the passing of my mom and it was already passed the drop date so I got a D. So I am currently on my 3rd attempt on chem 2... And orgo 1 is scaring me even thought I'm not even there yet.

Any advice on my situation would be of great help with my thought process. Should I make this decision to just avoid chem 2/orgo1 requirements? or keep going? Please no negative feedback.
